You can now checkout the "v2-1-pop3file" branch in CVS from the jakarta-james module, do a clean build, and you'll now have James running with the non-numbering and de-numbering file repository implementation.

Noel, I'm not sure if you wanted to put this out as a release somewhere as well... let me know if/how and I can follow-up with that tomorrow.
