Ya know, as a user I agree, namespaces in config would really make it more difficult.
Just a note: in Cocoon we have matchers, that are configed too, and I'm musing about making a mailet that uses Cocoon to process the mail.
Just take a look at the Cocoon matchers and mailets, and the latest inputmodules and pipelines, and see if it triggers something...
