FileObjectStore& FileStreamStore

hello, I've used James for a while, but kind of new to its internals.

I am wondering why James has two files created -- one .FileObjectFile and one 
.FileStreamStore, what are they for perspectively?

Also when one try to retrieve a list of his/her emails, which file did James use? Any 
docs on these?
