I have no > intention of abandoning James in any case :) A dedicated good-netizen would report the spam to the operator of the sending network, and various spammer listing agencies. http://www.mail-abuse.org/rbl/notifyfaq.html gives a pretty comprehensive description of all the steps you could take for each of your 6000 mails. Of course you would have to outlive the universe to do it comprehensively, but any random act of anti-spam is a blow for Truth, Justice, and the Netiquette way.
