Hi,
I'm looking for a software that allows an implementation of a custom
mail system, our users don't use any comercial MUA, instead they read
their e-mail into an application that allows them to attach the message
into a process and after that the message become public, so that the
other users know what's happening about that process. This system is
already in production but it was developed in delphi 3 and it doesn't
accepts attachments :-( or HTML, just text/plain.
We need to port this system to the web so that my customers can access
information about their process and documentation. At the web part we
will start to code servlets, and at the messaging part I think that
JAMES could handle this.
We have to much document traffic here, and may problems can be solved if
we have an integrated document distribution system between our partners,
I'm thinking about a system based on smtp for transport/routing, xml for
formating and oracle as a database backend.
Does anyone at this list have similar problems like these ?
Do you think these solutions make sense ?
