That makes three of us. :)  The only thing I'll say is that I'm pretty sure
the LDAP bind on an account is the best way to test a password.  Also, I've
never tested LDAP servers with any sizeable load, but at least from what
I've read, it'll be one of the fastest modules... the manipulation of the
megs of mail will take substantially longer.
