Ivan,
I think the additional "comments" or whatever field for the Notify mailets
would be a great feature. I know the postmaster at my company is getting
sick of the bounces without an explanation. :)
As for passing comments in the ToProcessor, what you could do is optionally
let a parameter store something in the "errorMessage" field of the Mail
object. Probably at some point we should at least rename "errorMessage" to
something like "notes", and perhaps let it support multiple notes... not
sure about this. In any case, if you have ToProcessor set this field and
then make sure the Notify mailets are passing whatever is in errorMessage
(they should be already I should hope), then you can hopefully accomplish a
decent error handling system.
If you do make patches (instead of code that you have to paste into message
to the listserv), you can send them directly to me and I'll apply, test, and
commit them. Thanks.

processor has the same message replying to the email no matter what was the
reason for say entering the error processor. I was about to add the string
parameter into the NotifySender mailet for the description (if any). That
way we can create different error processors for different errors. Does that
make sense? Does it also make sense to add the same feature to ToRepositroy
and NotifyPostmaster as well for logging purposes? Even better solution
would be to have a parameter string passed between processors (i.e. via
ToProcessor) but I don't think that there is a support for that in either of
the two (ToProcessor mailet and receiving processor). Maybe it should be a
feature on todo list ...
