I guess that globally telnet works in the same
way both on NT and UNIX.
If you did use the default configuration of JAMES
to connect to the remote system, I suspect the problem was caused
telnet couldn't find your host or could be it
couldn't use 4555 port for some reasons that I really don't know how to tell
here.
I think you need to trace the problem not from
telnet but JAMES.
Currently I still haven't decided which tools
shall I use. I was thinking may be creating some applications to
manage.

Sorry Muliawan but I don't have any error
message. My telnet session don't give me the handle of the commands. I don't
know how Telnet works with NT because I usually work with
UNIX.
So, I would be gratefull if you can tell me how
you have manage you users and witch tools you use.
Thanks,
-Frank-

No, the port 4555 is only used by the
management tools of JAMES

Hi,
I just wondered, have you ever used port
4555 somewhere in applications on your machine?

Hello,
I've installed James 1.2
and I want to know how to run management tools
on NT. Telnet
session on port 4555 doesn't work.
Thank in advance,
Frank
