Hi,
I also have installed JAMES. Works great I would say too. However, I noticed
that something just breaks when I try to retrieve mails with a POP3 client
(MS Outlook Express 5.0 to be specific). Sometimes I'm successful but mostly
I have to reinstall JAMES to get it to start working again and it breaks
again after a few attempts to read/send mail.
To get around this, I wrote a POP3 webmail client servlet. It works fine but
I have to work on the interface. It's even more useful than Outlook Express
since all the mail sits on the Server ( a plus for mail data back-up). All
in all, I think JAMES (hoping better documentation will be included soon) is
a wonderful product!
In answer to your question, you can download Sun's JavaMail API if you don't
have it already. It's got a mail servelt called "JavaMailServlet" you could
use. It works fine with JAMES out of the box.
Regards,
Paul
