I study kanji and I've got a couple of questions about some of the
kanji used in some Japanese words.
1) The word for postage stamp is "kitte". The kanji used in this
word is �؎�. The meaning of this kanji is "cut & hand". How do
you get postage stamp from cut & hand?
2) The word for lightning is "Inazuma". The kanji used in this
word is ���. The meaning of this kanji is "wife & rice field".
Similiar question, how do you get lightning from wife & rice field?
There are couple more like this, but this will do for starters.
