Hi all,

I just recently made a few purchases on e-bay - a few
Japanese CDs (I'm a fan of Utada Hikaru, L'Arc En Ciel
and Dragon Ash) and a few Japanese DVDs, for a fairly
reasonable price.

There are a number of stores on e-bay (in particular,
Asia or US-based sellers) that offer sales (DVDs, CDs,
VCDs and more) to international buyers. If anyone is
interested in learning how to use e-bay (if you
haven't come across it before) or what they can search
for, please let me know. Another option is using
Amazon, but unless you're happy paying up to 10 times
the price, I wouldn't recommend Amazon - I find them
highly overrated and overpriced, unless you are
searching for a hard-to-find, unique item, in which
case you can justify spending the money!

I picked up a few DVDs at only about US$10 each from a
store based in Hong Kong via e-bay and I find them a
great study tool - you can enjoy a movie as well as
learning something. I usually watch the movie with my
electronic dictionary close by to look up words as
they come up. It's a very worthwhile investment for
the money.

Depending on your level of Japanese - you can get some
DVDs with subtitles in Japanese, which is great to be
able to READ what is being said. Also, if your native
language is Chinese or English, there are also a
number of DVDs that have these subtitles also.

Hope that helps. If you have any queries, send me an
e-mail and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Mark
