Hi Sexy Guy, I don't think "セクシ男" is a good idea for a tattoo. Katakana characters and tattoos don't go along very well; besides, it's セクシー男, not セクシ男.
If you want to go with the "sexy guy" thing, 色男 (iro-otoko) may be the one, but still it would look funny as a man's tattoo. I would suggest 伊達男 (date-otoko), which means "a cool, handsome, or fashionable guy". About writing Japanese from top to bottom, yes, you can do it with Word. There are two ways to do it: 1.Pull down ファイル(F)and click ページ設定(U). You'll see 方向 just below 文字方向. Check 縦書き(V)and click "OK". 2. Pull down 書式(O) and click 縦書きと横書き(X). Choose the right one of the five options you'll see there. If you want to write from right to left, you need a special editor. Good luck.
