I use a combination of Genki 1 and 2, Living Language Ultimate, Instant Immersion and Colloquial Japanese. I find the various sources give a good rendition of accents, and how to pronounce certain sounds and words, as well as subject material. I wanted to try Pimsleur, but the expensive price, plus a few reviews on Amazon has kept me from trying it.
