Yeah, that kept me busy for a few hours too.  The FAQ has it right,
ignore the advice and loose the SERVER-PORT part.  The splash text
needs to be updated.

But yes, sorting through contradictory documentation is especially
difficult when you're doing something new and you don't know what the
correct behavior is supposed to be.
