Please excuse me if this is a problem that has been answered a thousand
times, but I have spent a lot of time searching around the jserv.apache.org
web site and the documentation was a bit light on this front.

We have downloaded and installed all the latest components, and we are
running on a Linux box.

We have a very large servlet environment and we are porting it from Solaris
to Linux. The getRealPath(...) problem is a real-pain in the butt, but one
that we have worked around assuming we get this working.

We can't seem to find where System.out.println(...) come out. Also we have
our own logging system that produces its own log files. Again, it doesn't
produce any files.

for example, with a one zone setup, where would FileWriter("somefile.txt")
be written.

We try to get INIT parameters into our servlets using both global/default
ones and localised ones, but nothing seems to work. We can't see whats
going on,due to the fact System.out.println(...) is dead.

Our servlets are being hit, as they are doing something! Its as if
init(...) isn't being called.

Whats the story people? HELP!

Alan
