Assuming that your apache was configured with mod_so (DSO) support, the
following worked for me:
./configure \
--with-apache-install=/opt/apache \
--prefix=/opt/jserv \
--with-jdk-home=/opt/jdk \
--with-jsdk=/opt/jsdk/lib/jsdk.jar
make
make install
This will put mod_jserv.so in /opt/apache/libexec.
Then just add your LoadModule and AddModule lines to httpd.conf....
