OK, folks, I'm a list newbie...tried to look through the archives a bit
and didn't see my particular problem so I'm posting a question...

First, yes, I read the installation material and did indeed get a
non-zero copy of the jar :-)

My environment:

1) Windows95
2) JDK1.1.6
3) JSDK2.0
4) Apache 1.3.4 (seems like the JServ engine can't work with 1.3.6 yet,
right?)
5) Apache JServ for 1.3.4 (file name ApacheJServ1_0b2-Apche1_3_4.exe
from the download site)

I have checked my wrapper.path and wrapper.bin and wrapper.classpath
against a known working installation, and mine looks OK. I'm using the
"-nojit" parameter (wrapper.bin.parameters), which I'd been told to
do...

When I start the Apache server, it seems to start, and I get the message
"Apache/1.3.4 (Win32) ApacheJServ/1.0b1 running..." in my MS-DOS box.

In my Apache server log (not the JServ log) I get the message "Apache
JServ: Exception creating the server socket: java.net.SocketException:
create"

In my mod_jserv log I get:

[22/04/1999 19:04:48:960] (INFO) wrapper: Shutdown done (PID=-530649)
[22/04/1999 19:04:48:960] (INFO) Apache Module was cleaned-up
[22/04/1999 19:04:49:180] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine started
(PID=-955665)
[22/04/1999 19:04:49:180] (INFO) wrapper: controller started
(PID=-530649)
[22/04/1999 19:04:49:890] (INFO) wrapper: Java Virtual Machine crashed
....[repeated until it gives up at 6 tries...]

Any help would be appreciated...!
