On (at least some) unices, System.err is redirected to the Apach error log
(that'll probably change soon, so that it's redirected to the JServ error
log). System.out appears to go to the bit bucket -- I'm not sure why (or
how to fix it -- the obvious fix doesn't seem to work), but I'm looking
into it.
