I've checked, and as near as I can tell, there's nothing wrong with the
config and/or property files. No multiple-line problems. In fact, these
config files are just about exactly how they came from the factory--
everything's still set to the default values. I haven't changed any of the
timeout values, or anything like that.

Remember, the configuration I have now works *right* when accessed from a
Windows browser (either IE or Netscape), and from Netscape on the Mac. So
the basic configuration is ok. It's only on the Mac version of IE that the
problem occurs.

Since my last message, I've changed the configuration of the server
substantially. I moved two of our servlets over to JServ from our old JRun
configuration. Both servlets are working perfectly 100% of the time; I
haven't yet seen a single failure. Yet the "Hello" sample servlet that
ships with JServ still fails on IE Macintosh, about 10% of the time.

Our current working hypotheisis around here is that the problem is timing
related, but that any non-trivial servlet will take long enough to execute
that the problem does not occur. But short servlets, like the "Hello"
sample, run so quickly that they are vulnerable to this problem. That's our
theory, anyway; we haven't tried to prove it yet one way or another.
