You will probably not see it bundled with the official Apache
distribution...for the same reasons that you do not see mod_perl or mod_php
bundled.

But, that does not stop people from offering their own bundles, which we may
even include on the main site in the future.

For instance, I plan on eventually bundling both of them together in
/usr/local/apache and making it so that all you have to do is install a JDK
and then untar a .tar ball and type apachectl start. ;-) BTW, this will be a
Solaris 2.5.1 and 7 version.
