I unfortunately have been way too busy with other projects to look into
this, but it is possible that the round-robin balancer is not really
round-robining properly, and I've seen some evidence on my production
servers to point to this as well, although with the 16 java instances
running, we seem to keep things balanced to some extent, but I haven't
looked at it in enough detail to confirm that.
I know Jean-Luc (the other author of this code) isn't doing much coding
with his two broken arms, so if anyone else could give us a hand and look
into this problem, we'd appreciate it. Maybe some day I'll have some time
to look at this again, but not in the next few weeks.
