I'm using SuSE 6.1, Blackdown JDK 1.1.7v3, JSDK 2.0, and JServ 1.0.
After getting everything configured and working correctly, I logged out and
logged back in and eventually rebooted. I don't remember exactly when the
JServ engine stopped working but the only thing I changed was to add a
CLASSPATH to the profile script in order to ensure it's set upon login. I
also changed the PATH statement, it was pointing to /usr/lib/java/bin and I
removed it and pointed to my blackdown version of jdk 1.1.7v3. I chg'd it
back and it didn't correct the problem.
Now when Apache starts It doesn't load the JServ engine (Java code).
When I type
"java org.apache.jserv.JServ /usr/local/httpd/etc/jserv.properties -r", I
receive an error:
"Error found creating the socket: java.net.ConnectException: Connection
Refused"
I used this method to debug earlier problems when the JServ class wasn't
getting loaded properly.
Now I'm not sure what I did to cause the creation of Sockets to fail.
Anyone have any ideas?
TIA
Tom
