Are u running Apache on the same machine where you are running your java
IDE (where you are successfully able to connect)? As mentioned by Paul,
maybe you want to use BEA's JDBC drivers, or antoher one (I heard) from
thinweb.com  (or was that thinclient.com)?

Anyway, I too am using JDBC-ODBC brige, because we have no budget for
the project we are doing.
