I am running the following:
Windows 98
Apache 1.3.9
Apache JServ 1.0
When I develop at work, everything is great. As soon as
I go home, I do not have a permanent connection to the 'net, and JServ will not
respond to requests without return a 500 error. Apache is serving files
correctly. Also, if I check the /jserv/ status page, wait the horribly
long time for it to try and DNS the machine, and get a return from that servlet,
then all other servlets work.
Is this expected functionality. Setting my
servlets.startup parameter does not seem to help. Should I just continue
to call /jserv/ before I do any testing?
BTW, this is happening to ALL servlets, including
HelloWorld.
Thanks,
