Thanks for the confidence :-).  I actually do understand MT issue, or 
at least I think I do.  I use STM for other reasons.  I don't see why 
that has anything to do with the problem I'm having.

No issues with the thread pool either?

I'll post an example when I can sanitize something enough to post it. 
I'll post my thread dumping servlet that I use to monitor this.
