obviously HttpServletRequest.getRemoteUser() returns the user. both with
JServ 1.0 & JServ 1.1.(I just spent some minutes to check it on my own
site.)
I think you did misconfigure the authentication in Apache.
Do you have a snoop servlet demo that I can try from here ?
