        Hi all,

Sorry if this mail is a little off-topic.

Here is my Sytem config:
Red Hat Linux release 6.1 (Cartman)
Kernel 2.2.12-20 on an i686
Apache 1.3.9
Jserv1.1
IBM jdk 1.1.8

I have found this page about optimizing Linux and i want to to ask Your
opinion too.
The page is at: http://www.volano.com/linuxnotes.html
Here is described how to increase the:
-maximum file descriptors per process
-maximum task per user (this is interesting if native threads are used )
-etc.

Increasing these numbers will result that Jserv will be faster and won't
crash
 under heavy load?

Also here they recommend using Blackdown JDK 1.2.2 Release Candidate 4.
Has somebody used Jserv with Blackdown JDK 1.2.2 RC 4?
Also maybe it would be best to have the best system configuration for every
OS in the FAQ.
Or is is there?(and i am blind :))
This could be done by all of us.(Voting or something like that).

Thank You.

Best wishes,
                    Andras.
