I don't know why, but on the page
http://java.apache.org/jyve-faq/Turbine/screen/DisplayQuestionAnswer/action/
under the "Supported platforms" table,
the SunOS 5.6 (Solaris 2.6) is not listed.
I did test apache+modssl+jserv myself on 2.7 and 2.5.
