Hello,

We have 3 identical linux machines with
Apache/1.3.12 (Unix)
ApacheJServ/1.1.1b1
mod_ssl/2.6.2 and
OpenSSL/0.9.5.
To be complete we are using
Blackdown Java-Linux port of the Java 2 SDK to Linux (pre2)
Java(tm) Servlet Development Kit (JSDK) 2.0
on Slackware 7.0 Linux.

On two machines, every thing is OK.

We can log all channels. We can access all the SSL* env var by using
ApJServEnvVar directive.
It works really fine, thanks a lot to the developers. Really good.

But on the third machine, we can not log, if you make log=true JVM does
not starts giving famous
.....
(EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host 127.0.0.1:$
(EMERGENCY) ajp12: function connection fail.
....
errors.
I know that this is FAQ. But all the access control and other solutions
in FAQs are tested. No of them is working. (we have checked all the
paths to the jdk, jsdk and ApJserv jar and bins, log files etc. All have
the same ACL.)

Besides this, ApJServEnvVar is not exporting the env. vars. (Servlet
engine is running but not exporting env. vars.
The same SuperSnoop is running in all three machines, we also tested
directly using getAttribute("org.apache.jserv.SSL_*") things, it is also
not working on the 3rd machine)

I wonder if there is anyone who have faced a such a strange problem ?
Are the log=true failing and ApJServEnvVar no exporting problems caused
by the same reason ?
Any idea will help.

(We have tested, "Lets install everything from the beginning" solution.)

Thanks in advance

Haluk ZONTUL
