---------------------------------------------------------------- BEFORE YOU POST, search the faq at <http://java.apache.org/faq/> WHEN YOU POST, include all relevant version numbers, log files, and configuration files. Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I am concerned about the long list of java processes that my system shows when I type ps -e (I am using linux) I read the faq in which said that these are threads and not seperate jvms. Neverless it seems as long I use Jserv further threads are created and none are being destroyed. In fact at the end of two days (where I was writing and testing my servlet lots of initalization of the same servlet) I had about 170 java processes(threads). Should I be concerned? What is going on, and if this is abnormal what is mostly likely the problem? thank you, George Hart [EMAIL PROTECTED] Perhaps relevant info: os: Red Hat 6.1 (linux) java.vm.info= build Linux_JDK_RC3, native threads, sunwjit java.vm.version= 1.2.2 Jserv 1.1 -- -------------------------------------------------------------- Please read the FAQ! <http://java.apache.org/faq/> To subscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives and Other: <http://java.apache.org/main/mail.html> Problems?: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
