a little more inspection actually shows me the proccess...

[17/05/2000 12:01:04:116] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via

running
[17/05/2000 12:01:04:116] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via 
protocol "balance"

so it is pretty clear to me at this point that it is not routing 
itself... its like it just gives up.. i would think this would be a 
config issue (?) but bernie's quick glance gave it a clean bill of 
health ;)
