Take a look at the IBM JVMs. We have used the 1.1.8 in production on a
Linux box at http://www.healingpeople.com. No problems and very fast.
This supports native threads so it takes advantage of the multi-cpu
boxes out there. It's a very solid JVM. IBM also has an alpha 1.3 JVM
available. If you need a 1.2 JVM, go with the blackdown one for now
until the IBM one is released and then use it.
