Just be carefull to include first the jserv.conf file in the httpd.conf file
and AFTER that to load the rewrite module
Then for each virtual host (or for the hole server) you have to add
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^/$ /servlets/YourIndexServlet [PT]
The [PT] means "Pass Through", to pass the new filename to other file name
processing modules there might be
