Chris,

        You've probably already tried this, but it doesn't hurt to mention it:
make sure that you can compile and run Java code other than servlet code,
e.g.,
a "Hello, world" application (in order to ensure that your JDK is working
correctly). I don't know how to test your JSDK, too.
