Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- I am running JDK1.1.8 JServ1.1.1 Apache 1.3.12 on NT and wanted to get opinions on the following. Is there a problem with using JRE versus JAVA in the production environment. I made the change to jserv.properties and Apache will not start up. Second what are the repercussions of turning off the GC in JVM. If I disable do I need to closely monitor the memory on NT to see if it stays stable or am I asking for a disaster in the waiting? My GC runs for a couple days then pushes the CPU to 50% and then 100% and I have to restart to clean it up. I bump up the heap size and it just seems to prolong the problem. GC is now taking about 300 ms and I am getting concerned that this will cause undo delays to the client.
