JServ runs as java process. You may want to try
ps -ef|grep java
to look for this process.
Alternatively, run
netstat -an|grep 8007
for this port. If after killing the java process and you still find an entry
in the netstat output, you may have to wait for this to timeout
(Linux normally timeout after 1 min).
If all else fails, try rebooting.

I don't know how to find out the old Jserv process , I shut both Apache
and
Jserv and did ps -aef but I can't make out if there is still Jserv
process
hanging....
Can you shed some light on this ....
