---------------------------------------------------------------- BEFORE YOU POST, search the faq at <http://java.apache.org/faq/> WHEN YOU POST, include all relevant version numbers, log files, and configuration files. Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hy, I'm using Apache 1.3.12 and JServ 1.0. The same configuration is runnning on a WinNT4.0 and a Linux(RedHat 6.1) machine. On the two machines there is the same problem. When there is a lot of traffic on the WEB, the network is crashing down on the server machine. A ping to that machine has a time-daly from about 5-9sec. The directory htdocs for the web-publishing is shared (on WinNt with normal Sharing and on Linux with Samba). Can the problem be found here. The the network had crashed, I have to restart the WinNt an to restart the network /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart on the Linux. Has somebody the same problem. The whole internet pages are served by a servlet Cocoon, which converts the XML-files into HTML-files.
