Hi Bing
The simple way to work this out is to follow a simple procedure.
Login or telnet to the host that is making the JDBC request to the MySQL
database.
Run the mysql command and login with the username and password your
servlet is using. Then manually type the query your servlet is trying to
perform.
The key to making MySQL authenticate you/your servlet, is to make sure you
have granted appropriate right to:
1. The username
2. The password matches with the username
3. The address making the request matches with that username/password
combination
4. The user has rights to perform the operation being requested
4 simple tests to solve your problem.
