Don't make us guess your problem!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, Note : I am sending only plain text, not HTML. ---- Para 1) We have an installation of RedHat Linux 6.1 with Apache httpd 1.3.9. This we installed from the CD. Now we have downloaded ApacheJServ-1_1_2-1_i386.rpm after carrying out the foll. instructions from the www.europe.redhat.com site Instructions begin ---- Apache JServ can be obtained from http://java.apache.org/jserv/index.html. >From the Apache JServ Project home page, follow the Download Apache JServ link. Currently RPM distributions are available for RedHat Linux. For other Linux distributions you will have to build from source. The following example describes how install the RPM for RedHat 6x. Instructions end---- After downloading, we did the foll. a) rpm -i ApacheJServ-1_1_2-1_i386.rpm b) Stopped httpd and restarted it It threw up an error and did not start up : Syntax error on line 93 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure `jserv_module' in file /etc/httpd/modules/mod_jserv.so is garbled - perhaps this is not an Apache module DSO? Para 2) Our /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file contains the foll. 3 lines i) LoadModule jserv_module modules/mod_jserv.so ii) AddModule mod_jserv.c iii) <IfModule mod_jserv.c> Include /etc/httpd/conf/jserv/jserv.conf </IfModule> Para 3) Our /etc/httpd/modules directory is a link to ../../usr/lib Para 4) At our end mod_jserv.so is present in /etc/httpd/modules Para 5) I have gone thru' the FAQ at the apache site and could not find any info in it. Could anyone throw some light on this ?
