Bharat,

There are a wide variety of JDBC drivers out there (Types 1-4)-- for a good 
performing driver, check out BEA Weblogic driver... you do have to pay 
though... it isn't free.  Weblogic is a Type 4 driver (100% pure Java- the 
ODBC-JDBC bridge drivers don't seem to perform as well as the Type 4 drivers)
