Servlets run as root...

I am going to be working on some configuration servlets for a project, but for security reasons, the configuration files need to be write-only by root. Is there a way to set up a zone that runs as root to be able to write to root-owned configuration files?   Anything would be of use (ie: a web-page on the internet to read with more information to running JServ or servlets as root).   Thanks in advance,   John Brainard ICQ: 19668081
