We've installed Apache 1.3.9 and Jserv 1.0 very successfully under
HPUX11. We're actually deploying a client site using Stronghold and Jserv 1.0.
You should probably use gcc. We had less trouble with it than using the HP
ansi C compilers. flex, bison, and gmake couldn't hurt either. The gnu
tools made things much easier.
In general, there seems to be very spotty support for HPUX11 out there in
the universe. I'd never thought I'd be on the bleeding edge with HP....
