Communication Skills: Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level. Responsibilities: Design, development per standards, design reviews, code reviews, document design, unit testing Analyze, design, develop and deploy technology solution for BD/IAS Technology group. The Java Developer will be involved in a full project life cycle while working closely with Java Technical Lead. Platforms: Must be proficient in UNIX, XP/Vista, and Linux. Programming Skills: Strong and proven experience in developing server components. Strong in J2EE server technologies: Web Services, Object Model, Core Java, XML, Enterprise Java Beans, JMS. Good experience in using design patterns, UML, OO concepts. Knowledge of Weblogic is required. Good experience in Databases (SQL) is a plus. Should be able to translate high level design to detail technical design and implementation. Knowledge of Clearcase and ANT. Business Knowledge: Financial services industry is a plus. Additional skill: Developer with 5 years experience with n-tier application development. Deep understanding of one of the MVC frameworks like Struts/Spring in addition to J2EE MVC. Well rounded experience with backends including databases and messaging. Oracle/Sybase/DB2 experience would be considered very relevant. Development of scripts, DAO framework, pagination, application level access controls and entitlements are all relevant experience for this position.
