**QA Analyst
Location: Dayton, OH (Local)
Duration: 6+Months
*
*Overview: *
Responsible for developing and executing testing efforts for Handheld and
Web applications which includes software releases, fixes and enhancements.
Develop software test plans, test scripts and test reports.
Creates Requirement Traceability Matrices, Ensures adherence to quality
standards.
Trains Users and Provides Onsite Technical Support as needed. Software
supports 100+ mobile field force using handheld devices.
*Job Responsibilities*
- Lead test efforts of deploying web and mobile device software
- Tests and certifies application software, enhancements, upgrades and
fixes to ensure the systems function as required
- Test applications by creating test data with valid and invalid records
to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
- Executes moderately complex tests according to established plans and
scripts, documents problems in the JIRA Issue Management System and
regression to ensure problems are resolved.
- Develops and updates QA/Software Testing documentation in an efficient
and timely manner according to industry standards and procedures.
- Recommends and implements best practices for testing.
- Trains Users and Provides Onsite Technical Support as needed.
- Assist in the collection and reporting of Quality Control Software
metrics
- Other duties as required.
*Performance Criteria (Results Expected)*
- Meet deadlines as required by the project milestones
- Maintain quality and attention to detail during the complete software
testing process
- Communicate effectively with the software development teams and
internal customers
*Required Education & Experience*
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 2-5 years of testing
experience.
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing
- Experience with identifying and documenting defects during test
execution
- Experience reviewing requirements to develop test cases and test scripts
- Experience developing, documenting and implementing quality assurance
best practices and test strategies
*Preferred Qualifications*
- Experience testing high performance web based applications
- Experience with mobile technology preferred
- Experience in working with utilities (water, gas, electric)
