*Business Analyst with Financial Contract Duration: 6 monthsLocation: New
York City, NYRequired Skills:*- Must have recent experience with Mutual
Funds. Any UCITS exp is a plus
¨ Demonstrated skill performing business analysis on large multi-business
constituency projects
• Must be able to perform requirements analysis and write Business
Requirement Document (BRD) including Scope Statement, Current-state
analysis, Proposed State Analysis, Gap and Impact Analysis, Work flow
diagrams, Business process flow diagrams, Use Cases (RUP standard
preferred), and Risk Assessments)
• Experience performing business/functional analysis in the following
business areas
o End to end investment operations lifecycle for hedge funds
o Trade execution, custody, settlement and clearance
o Fund Accounting
o Regulatory Reporting
o Reconciliation
¨ Demonstrated success performing functional analysis on large
multi-business constituency projects
• Must be able to conduct functional analysis, fully engineer a viable
solution and write Functional Specification Document (FSD) including
(Logical data flow diagrams, Application Input/output Data definitions,
Work flow diagrams, Process flow diagrams, Screen Specifications, and User
Interface design)
• Must have the ability to engineer a complete solution for design and
modeling new applications as well as system enhancements.
¨ Ability to critically analyze information and make sound judgments and
recommendations
¨ Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate technical and
non-technical terms, based on the audience and stage of project life
cycles, to ensure mapped solutions satisfy business problems and
opportunities
¨ Must have strong communication/presentation skills. Proven ability to
communicate effectively across technology, business community and senior
management
¨ Must be highly detail oriented, demonstrate excellent organizational
skills and excellent follow-through skills
¨ Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives at
the same time
¨ Experience in writing Technical Specification Document
¨ Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio
¨ Hard working, self-motivated, demonstrate a high level of initiative,
assertive, versatile and flexible
¨ Must be able to work independently and follow through on all aspects of
responsibilities
*Business Experience & Education:*¨ BS/MS/MBA (MIS, computer science,
economics, accounting, finance)
¨ 5+ years of progressive work experience in business/functional analysis
including large multi-business constituent projects
¨ 5+ years of progressive work experience in financial industry
¨ Prior technical working experiences a plus (developer, DBA etc.)
¨ Business Analyst certification a plus
