Job Description: -Understand performance requirements and risk assessments to ensure test designs, scripts and data support testing of the requirements. -Understand test plan and estimated resource requirements to support on-time delivery of test execution. -Drives most activities, tasks and deliverables in performance modeling & forecasting and performance testing and tuning. -Supports and coordinates with Capacity Manager in execution of Capacity Management and common performance engineering activities -Supports and participates in execution of Performance Diagnostics activities and deliverables -Develop automated test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more performance test efforts. -Execute tests and report results according to testing standards and procedures. -Assist implementation of test environment requirements and tools. -Record performance defects and adhere to defined defect management process. -Record and communicate issues that may affect schedule, budget or quality in accordance with the project's issue management process. Communicate and escalate to performance test lead. -Support defect resolution management in coordination with performance test lead, performance architect, performance engineer and extended business and technical teams. -Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process. -Manage or complete test analysts' work throughout test effort to ensure the standard performance engineering analysis and reporting is completed. -Validate performance defect fixes. -Ensure that all testing results are maintained in an organized way and easily accessible (e.g., stored in a common, published location). Support test lead to ensure that results and understandable for the appropriate level of stakeholder (executive, management, technical). -Ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the testing approach. . SKILLS: -Ability and skilled in use of standard automated load testing tools (Load Runner, Performance Center). -Ability and experience in overall performance engineering/testing process including planning, analysis, design, test and deploy. -Ability to understand, support and/or use standard performance monitoring and diagnostics tools(CA WILY) in Cloud Environment. -Ability to prepare and/or assist in preparation of all performance testing work products and deliverables. -Ability to understand performance test technical infrastructure environment. -Ability to assist and support test lead in developing status and results reporting. Good written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to understand performance testing concepts and how performance testing fits into the performance engineering framework and the overall project life cycle -Ability to document and communicate the status of progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary. -Ability to identify, clarify and resolve system performance issues and risks, escalating them as needed.
