Sr. Business Analyst

Job Description:

This position will help assist in the overhaul of the current telephony
system and migration to the new telephony system for the Indianapolis based
OneAmerica contact center.  In addition, the project will be implementing
and releasing Salesforce Service Cloud into the contact center, replacing
an old ticketing system.  This position ideally has experience with Avaya,
Salesforce, and contact center technologies in general, with an emphasis on
Salesforce.

This position challenges conventional thinking and consults with both
business and IT leaders to identify business change opportunities to help
achieve key business objectives of the enterprise.  This position assists
in defining business and IT requirements for major/complex business change
initiatives as well as the functional design of business process and
business system solutions.  This position assists business leaders in
managing and integrating change back into the organization to minimize the
impact of changes to the affected business areas.  This position requires
the ability to demonstrate complex root cause analysis and problem solving
capabilities. This position requires experience with defined software
development methodologies for execution of work throughout the development
lifecycle.

Define Business Requirements.

   - Partners with key stakeholders in the business to elicit and document
   requirements to drive solutions and deliver results

Business System Design.

   - Working jointly with the business and IT, leverages business
   requirements to develop detailed functional/nonfunctional specifications

Analysis/Problem Solving.

   - Identifies problems, secures relevant information from all
   stakeholders, clarifies key issues, considers alternative solutions, and
   takes steps to solve the problem and prevent re-occurrence (i.e. root
   cause).

Manage Business Change.

   - Partners with all stakeholders impacted by business system and/or
   business process changes, where applicable, to ensure all changes are
   managed back into the business in a way that minimizes impact to the
   customer.

Provides Leadership and Mentoring

   - Mentors and provides leadership for standard processes and
   methodologies used in systems development, work management and governance.

Change Agent.

   - In the spirit of continuous improvement, always challenges the status
   quo and challenges others to rethink current processes, structures,
   policies, methodologies, and assumptions related to role of Business
   Analyst.

Business/IT Consultant.

   - As one in the unique position to help bridge the gap between IT and
   the business, provides consulting services to both IT and the business to
   help bring understanding to the intersection between, and integration of,
   business process and business applications.

Project Management.

   - On occasion, for small projects or projects not staffed with a Project
   Manager from the CPMO, manages projects using the standard OneAmerica
   Project Management Methodology.

Skills required for this role on this specific engagement.

   - *Experience with Salesforce*
   - User Experience and User Interface Design experience
   - Agile experience preferred
   - Working knowledge of Waterfall
   - Experience with various modeling techniques (Context and Process
   Diagram, Event Response, State, Use Case Design, etc.)
   - Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio
   - Experience with a variety of facilitation and interviewing skills and
   techniques
   - Experience with telephony
   - Experience with contact center applications and integrations
   - Experience with documenting and refining business process workflows
   - Experience with financial recordkeeping systems and integrations

Gateways required for this role:

   - Experience OR minimum education will be considered: 4 year degree and
   6 years of experience in business or systems analysis, OR 10 - 12 years of
   experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
