The Executive office of Education (EOE) and the Executive office of Early
Education (EEC) has an initiative underway to significantly extend the
functionality of a mission critical business application, the Child Care
Financial Assistance application (CCFA).  We are seeking a Senior Reports
Software Developer to add to the team.



This person will be responsible for doing business analysis and
requirements, and delivering reports code for a web based software
development project.  This position will work with the project team to
analyze, design and develop reports application code using industry
standard practices and tools.



This is a lean and agile project.  The ideal candidate can work in all
tiers of the architecture, and has experience with .NET and SQL Server,
three-tiered applications.  They will also have experience in all phases of
software development – business analysis, requirements documentation,
design, development, unit test, QA test support and defect remediation.



Responsibilities

1.            The Senior Reports Software Developer is responsible for
collaborating with the EOE/EEC Organization, Project Managers, Architect,
Subject matter experts, and Quality Assurance, in the process of creating
analysis and software deliverables and artifacts.

2.            As a member of the team, you must adhere to the
organization’s methodologies and standards, and propose improvements based
on software development best practices.

3.            Daily usage of the following tools:  Microsoft Team
Foundation Server, SharePoint, SQL Developer, SSRS and Crystal

4.            Participation in full software development lifecycle
including requirements analysis and design, working closely with analyst,
design and QA personnel

5.            Strong knowledge in 3 tier Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

6.            Solid understanding of design patterns

7.            Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team
environment

8.            Proactively raise issues and offer solutions.

9.            Participate in daily scrum meeting to discuss current tasks
and status.

10.          Submit weekly status reports.



Education and Experience Level

1.            Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in software
engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field.

2.            Thorough knowledge of tools and processes used in the
Software Development Lifecycle Process.

3.            Proven track record working on large-scale projects with
diverse stakeholders and with cross-functional teams.

*4.            10+ years of reports analysis and requirements experience.*

*6.            10+ years of experience hands-on knowledge of SQL Server*

7.            Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies

8.            Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn

9.            Excellent communication & documentation skills.

10.          Experience related to attendance and billing systems would be
a plus.

11.          Experience related to child care systems would be a plus.

12.          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

13.          Ability to adjust to changing situations to address
emergencies, program changes, or production requirements.

14.          Ability to exercise sound judgment and use discretion in
handling confidential information.
