Sadly, this project/company doesn't use maven and instead uses ant.  I 
currently cannot find any place where the version is being kept track of.  I 
will continue looking for the correct version.  

As far as your comment about what has changed, since no one who supported this 
project is with the company anymore, I am not sure if this particular piece of 
code has ever functioned correctly.

On the bright side!, I do have a PCAP of the problem causing data.  I have 
attached the file.  The number you want is 10764.  The xml is very large 
because it contains a mass inventory of all things on their network.  

Let me know if this works for you and if you need anymore information to help 
troubleshoot.
