Okay - here is patch that should be good enough for evaluating this method.
My scorer.explain concern was invalid because Mike deprecated it anyway, so I
just moved that logic up a level, and now none of the searcher,reader stuff
needs to be passed to it. IndexSearcher.explain now does the reader resolve.
